As part of our approach, our team of specialists discuss and evaluate a broad range of patient treatment options including anti-epileptic medications, vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) and neurosurgery. And our facilities are state-of-the art. Patients who require surgery or other overnight care stay in private rooms designed to make them feel right at home with TVs, closet space and private bathrooms. Family members and loved ones are welcome to stay as well.
Of course, fellow patients can be just as important to recovery as our top-notch physicians, nurses, staff and facilities. Our monthly support groups help patients and their families communicate with others challenged by epilepsy. At these invaluable meetings, members exchange wisdom about seizures, new life skills and—most important—emotional support.
