Staffed by Medical City Physicians and Backed by More Than 40 Years of Experience

Medical City Dallas will open its newest provider-based emergency room, located at 5974 Northwest Hwy. (in Preston Center near Starbucks, at Northwest Hwy. at Preston Rd.) on October 29 at 6 a.m.

The newest Medical City ER, a department of Medical City Dallas Hospital, is a full-service emergency room staffed with board certified emergency physicians, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“We are excited to unveil the latest addition to Medical City Dallas system of comprehensive health care for North Dallas residents,” said Troy Villarreal, President and CEO of Medical City Dallas Hospital. “We are staffed with board certified emergency physicians and experienced ER nurses with advanced certifications in pediatric and adult care. We also have the very best ancillary support and security staff, and we look forward to continuing to serve the needs of our growing community.”

The newest Medical City ER has specialized adult and pediatric care, 9 private patient rooms, including three that are pediatric specific and a full-service laboratory with an on-site blood bank. It also features a radiology suite with state-of-the-art equipment, including a 64-slice CT scanner, x-ray and ultrasound, along with complimentary valet parking from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., seven days a week.

If needed, on-call specialists and consultation services will be provided by hospital medical staff, with admission to Medical City Dallas Hospital for inpatient services should conditions require further hospital care.

“Since the newest Medical City ER at Preston Center is a department of Medical City Dallas, and backed by more than 40 years of clinical expertise, a patient will experience seamless coordination of care if they do require admittance to the hospital,” said Nicole Rogers, MD, Medical City ER medical director.
