Other Treatments for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

Most treatments for peripheral artery disease (PAD) are directed at slowing the progression of the atherosclerosis that causes the disease. The first line of treatment is often directed at treating the underlying causes, including high blood pressure, diabetes, blood fat disorders, smoking, sedentary lifestyle, and obesity.

Specific treatments for PAD include lifestyle changes, medications, and invasive procedures.
