Center for Wound Care

All your wound care needs in one location.

Center for Wound CareThe Center for Wound Care at Medical City is designed to effectively treat problem wounds utilizing state-of-the-art procedures. Patients with chronic wounds, including complex wounds that won’t heal or do so slowly for a year or more, can benefit from our convenient and compassionate care.

We also specialize in helping patients with conditions that have a high risk of wound complications, including chronic hemodialysis, diabetes and severe peripheral vascular disease. Our facility provides specialized consultative care to patients of all ages from throughout the United States.

Our Center for Wound Care is staffed by a dedicated team of certified wound care specialists, nurses and physicians experienced at creating individualized treatment plans designed for optimal healing. The fact that Medical City was the first hospital in North Texas to be designated as a Magnet facility by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for excellence in nursing care means our nurses are at the top of their profession.

The Center for Wound Care sees patients on an outpatient basis to ensure a continuity of care. We also work closely with the referring or primary care physician and send reports on all treatments and progress to their office.

By providing all of our services on one campus, we streamline the process and make healing easier for our patients. They can take advantage of all our services including evaluation, treatment strategy, testing, rehabilitation, surgical services and prosthesis consults in one easy-to-access place.
