Community Involvement

From fundraising and support groups to screenings and programs to get you moving and eating right, Medical City gives back to our community in many ways. Why? We want a healthy, thriving community, too! Our 2,500 employees live and work here and we care about all of our neighbors.

The North Texas community is important to us—it's where we all work and live! And part of being good citizens is giving back to the community. In 2012, Medical City employees raised $124,075.84 for Coventry Reserve. Since 2003, Medical City employees have raised more than $1.2 million for community organizations such as The Family Place, Heroes for Children, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes and the North Texas Food Bank. We participate in community walks to raise money for the Dallas chapters of the Komen Foundation's Race for the Cure, American Heart Association's Heart Walk, and Walk from Obesity, to name a few. We give blood. We cut hair to make wigs for pediatric cancer patients. And we work with local school districts to teach healthy eating habits.
