MEDICAL CITY CANCER

We’re dedicated to strengthening hope in the lives of our patients.

We know Cancer.

Medical City Cancer detects and treats all kinds of cancer, including solid tissue tumors, in men, women, and children in its state-of-the-art facility.  Our physicians and nurses are specialists in their fields.  All of our physicians, surgeons, and other medical professionals are highly trained in the management and recognition of problems unique to cancer patients.  Our staff is also specially trained to provide a calming and secure environment.  In addition, our nurse to patient ratio allows us to provide close individualized care.

Our nurses are all registered professionals who have completed education and training by the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) including an intensive two-day National Oncology Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course in the most up-to-date chemotherapy and biotherapy administration procedures, types of chemotherapy, as well symptom and pain management.  This may be one of the reasons why Medical City was the first hospital in North Texas to receive Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for excellence in nursing care, making us part of a select group of hospitals worldwide to earn this prestigious designation.

We Commit to our Promise.

We commit to providing high-quality care, personal attention and to anticipating and meeting your individual needs.  For that reason, our approach is not one-sided, we pool our resources from several areas to have a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. There is a team of specialists ready to help coordinate everything from pre-treatment financial arrangements to family education and psychosocial support.  We also offer dietitians, physical therapists, and a chaplain to help ensure that our patients and their families are as comfortable as possible. While in the hospital, patients can select their own meal items from an extensive menu and choose when to have their meals delivered through our complimentary room service program. This helps ensure patients eat when they are hungry and do not have to work within a pre-determined meal service schedule. A dedicated social worker and case manager are available assist in your discharge needs. Together, our team provides the very best in cancer care.  Our follow-up schedule is fastidious and our support network is vast.  We have a dedicated cancer resource center designed to meet the needs of cancer patients and families throughout the cancer experience.

Medical City Cancer, a place where the hope of our patients is strengthened with a team approach to treatment.
